There are fishing shops everywhere but they are difficult to find! Perhaps the easiest to find is the ‘Jumbo Fishing Shop’ in Shibuya. It’s a 3 floor shop located near the South Exit of Shibuya JR Train Station (the exit near the West Bus Station). If you cross the iron foot bridge so that you are on the Cerulean Tower (the really tall hotel) side of Tamagawa Dori and walk away from the Cerulean Tower, the shop is on the right hand side (look up to 2F, 3F, 4F). If you walk back under the Yamanote Line you have walked too far.
Just inside the entrance on the right hand side is a small area where you can buy maggots, blood worms and other live baits.
The shop stocks a variety of fishing tackle for all disciplines from all the top brands. The 4th floor is where the course equipment is and you can buy line, hooks, floats, whips (~Y10,000), accessories, clothing, Japanese paste mixes and groundbait. You won’t find many familiar things and there are no bargins on Shimano or Daiwa reels which cost upwards of £300!!!!!
