The lakes at Mikata offer unrivalled carp fishing in Japan.  These lakes are the place to fish in Japan if you want to catch that prized 100cm+ fish!  People travel from all over the country to fish here and often stay for 2 weeks at a time!

There are 5 lakes in the area however 2 are salt water and do not contain carp.  The following pages have information on the 3 lakes containing carp.
