Clarion Awards - Bronze

For COP27, we set out to highlight the voices of African leaders tackling climate change and sustainability across the continent. That meant flying to Kenya to capture an in-person interview with Alice Ruhweza, Head of WWF Africa, while also working with remote crews to film other key figures internationally.

I didn’t want the film to just be a series of talking heads. The environment needed to be part of the story.

So I developed a simple visual idea, placing a white backdrop in striking locations across Kenya and framing each interview against the landscapes they’re working to protect. It created a clean, consistent look, while still grounding their messages in the real world.
