Shooting Director

Created for a major Speakers for Schools event, with celebrities, politicians and industry leaders in attendance, this film needed to do more than just tell a story, it had to inspire.

I spent the day with three young people who had been through the Speakers for Schools programme, focusing on how those opportunities gave them the confidence, connections and skills to take real control of their futures.

To bring that to life, I leaned into a split-screen style, pairing their interviews with personal footage and moments from their journeys. Bold on-screen text was used to reinforce key lines, keeping their voices front and centre while adding a bit more visual energy.

The aim was to keep it honest and impactful without overcomplicating things, letting their stories do the heavy lifting, and the result was a powerful reminder that when young people are given the right opportunities, they can achieve incredible things.
